Kirk Sorensen, Chief Technologist, and Dr. Kurt Harris, Chief of Staff, represented Flibe Energy, Inc. (FEI) at IAEA’s safeguards workshop hosted at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Mr. Sorensen spoke at the workshop, highlighting FEI’s focus on safety, security, and safeguards by design, including our work with Savannah River National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory on domestic and international safeguards respectively.

The workshop was timely, occurring only a week before the renewal of the US-UK Mutual Defense Agreement allowing for ongoing collaboration between the two countries on Safety, Security, and Safeguards.
